Right and Left Handed Video Tutorial and Free PDF Pattern.
I love to crochet blankets and have made various star shaped blankets, but find that the 10 Pointed Star is a slightly easier project to make, compared to the 12 Pointed Star shape. This is because once you've set the 10 points into place, each row consecutively follows the same pattern. For me it makes it a comfortable project to do whilst watching TV, without thinking about which round I'm working on.
This shape works so well as a Baby Blanket, Lap Blanket and Pet Blanket, that I've put together both a left handed and right handed version of the video tutorial to make the blanket, plus there is an optional FREE PDF pattern on my website as well. Both the video tutorial and PDF pattern use UK stitch terminology.

Below you'll find direct links to both a Left Handed and Right Handed Version of my Video Tutorial, showing you how to make the first 7 rounds of your blanket, which will set the pattern into place to then continue making it to any size you wish.
For my 10 Pointed Star Blanket, I used five different shades of Stylecraft Special DK double knitting Yarn (100 gram balls) and a 4mm crochet hook. This should be enough yarn to create a blanket at least 36" - 40" (91cm - 100cm) across.
So for now, happy crocheting and I hope you enjoy crocheting your 10 Pointed Star Blanket!
